At The Smiling Home, Handyman and Home Maintenance I strive to provide a personal, reliable, professional and comprehensive home maintenance service tackling those small jobs that niggle and never get done, through to new installs, repairs and renewals, refurbishments and emergency callouts.

Skills
Working across trades I aim to provide a convenience and quality driven solution. So you might have me fitting a new socket for you (yes I am also a domestic electrician) and while the plaster is drying around the socket I can go onto to build you that new custom cabinet to keep all the clutter in your the hallway in order. Take a look at some of the work I do and you will see Joinery, electrical work, tiling, plumbing, plastering often used in combination for a solution. I am especially drawn to troubleshooting and problem solving…so its not just a case of replacing something that is broken …it’s working out why it broke and making sure the problem is remedied and the solution is long lasting.

Work
Tiny Tasks range in duration from 1-3 hours for example replacing or repairing a tap, fitting a flat screen TV or an appliance, fitting additional sockets or light fittings.
Slightly bigger jobs taking 0.5-2 days include hanging doors, design and build of bespoke storage, opening up fireplaces, laying flooring etc. Bigger projects of over 3 days include building bespoke summerhouses, and whole room refurbishments. I also work with select colleagues, with a like quality of work and professional standards) to ensure comprehensive solutions can be provided

Area
Based in Greystones S11 I operate primarily in the South and West of Sheffield, so keep an eye out for my cheery van in Walkley, Crookes, Crosspool, Ranmoor, Endcliffe, greystones, Broomhall, Bents Green, Dore, Netheredge, Beauchief and even Hathersage, Bamford and the Hope Valley (if its a sunny day and i can go climbing in the evening  :-).
